Joining the Lab

My research group welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, skill sets, and interests who share a curiosity about politics, data, and emerging technologies. Mentoring and advising are a core component of my research process, and nearly everything the lab produces is the result of sustained collaboration between faculty and students.

Students interested in working with me should apply to the Washington University in St. Louis Department of Political Science PhD program. WashU offers one of the strongest quantitative methods training environments in the discipline, fully funded PhD positions, and a deeply collaborative culture that spans political science, statistics, and data science.

I am always happy to hear from students interested in the lab and its research. Please keep in mind, however, that admission decisions are made by the department as a whole, so I cannot assess your chances of admission or commit to advising specific students before they are admitted.
